Meeting between CNRS and IFISC researchers to model the dynamics of housing markets

Nov. 7, 2019

For the entire past week, scientists of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Paris Diderot University integrated in the institute Riate visited IFISC (UIB-CSIC) to establish bridges between the institutions in the context of the MOREHOUSE project. MOREHOUSE, standing for Modeling hOusing maRkets dynamics thanks to Emerging and HeterOgeneoUs data SourcEs, is a CSIC cooperation project with the French CNRS on the study of the real estate market using big data. The project MOREHOUSE connects with the ESPON Housing contract of the EU Commission to analyze whether big data can provide a homogeneous source of information on the real estate market. It started in May 2019 and goes until the end of 2021.

The meeting was attended by Thibault Le Corre, Renaud Le Goix, Marc Lieury, Thomas Louail and Julien Migozzi, on behalf of the French scientific partner (CNRS and University Paris Diderot), and by IFISC researchers Pere Colet, Mattia Mazzoli, Jose J. Ramasco and Antònia Tugores.
