A hundred of physicists met in Mallorca to attend the 1st RICE School and the ICE3 Conference

April 28, 2016

A hundred of physicists interested in quantum information have met in Mallorca attending the first RICE School and the ICE-3 Conference. Both activities have been organized by the IFISC and have had a record of inscriptions with 72 participants from various countries in the ICE-3 Conference and 37 scientists joining the first Rice School in Quantum Information.

La third edition of the Congress ICE attended nine presentations by internationally known researchers such as Mari Carmen Bañuls (Max Planck Institute of quantum optics, Germany), Caslav Brukner (University of Vienna, Austria), Juan José García Ripoll (Institute of Fundamental Physics,CSIC), Geza Giedke (Centre international de physics of Donostia), Stefan Kuhr (Glasgow's Strathclyde University, United Kingdom), Sabrina Maniscalco (University of Turku, Finland), Stefano Pironio (University Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium), Anna Sanpera (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and David Campoy Zueco (Institute of science of materials of Aragon). This Congress is part of a series of events usually organized in Spain in an itinerant way by the RICE network (http://rice.hbar.es/) with the aim of being a benchmark in the study and research of quantum information.

On the other hand, the first Rice School has been promoted by Spanish network of quantum information who promotes research in quantum information simulations and technologies through partnerships amongst the network itself and amongst international groups, and the training of scientists in these issues.
