SURF fellowships provide support for a 4-weeks summer stay at IFISC, carrying a
research program under the supervision of an IFSIC researcher.
Requirements
The candidate must be enrolled in an official university degree and must have passed at least 120 ECTS of his/her degree. This call requires a minimum average qualification of 7/10 (or equivalent).
Dedication and financial support
Internships have assigned a total research work of 150 hours, equivalent to four weeks working full time. Each fellowship provides 900 Euros as contribution to the fellow's living costs in Mallorca for a 30-day stay. Students living outside Mallorca can apply for a travel grant that in any case cannot exceed 500 Euros.
In addition, those SURF fellows with a positive assessment of their stay will not have to pay the official UIB registration costs (around 1800€) in the case of applying and being accepted to the Master of Physics in Complex Systems offered by IFISC and not having a fellowship that covers this registration.
Starting date and duration
The research stay is scheduled to start not earlier than June 26th and to be concluded by July 28th.
Deadline
The deadline for submitting the application is March 26th, 2023.
