SUMQUTT SURFING MULTITERMINAL QUANTUM THERMODYNAMICS AND TOPOLOGY

Our project is devoted to the investigation of the novel physics and the functionalities emerging from the combination of three fundamental aspects such as quantum behavior, thermodynamics and topology in transport through nanoscale multiterminal systems. We want to address the generic fundamental properties, like advantages of work extraction from coherent nanoengines, with the mesoscopic modeling of specific physical systems, like multiterminal junctions made of slabs of topological insulators (BiSe, BiTe, etc ). The scope of the project is broad and aims at advancing the general knowledge of mesoscopic quantum systems.
