Generating functional analysis of a thresholded random generalised Lotka-Volterra model

(2024)

This project studied a variation of the Random Generalized Lotka-Volterra (rGLV) model, commonly used to analyze ecological communities and biodiversity stability. The proposed variation introduces a threshold to species abundance, removing those species from the community whose abundance falls below a certain value. This approach allows for analyzing the effect of eliminating less adapted species and observing the impact on the rest of the community. The model is encouraged to study possible consequences in biological communities where the Allee effect and a Extintion threshold are present.
