Profile
My research interests include noise fluctuations and stochastic processes, non-linear dynamics in semiconductor lasers, synchronization of coupled oscillators, delay effects in lasers and optolectronic systems, synchronization of chaotic lasers and encoded communications, pattern formation, quantum fluctuations in nonlinear optical cavities, noise-sustained structures, dynamics of localized structures, use of dissipative solitons for information processing, generation of high spectral purity microwaves with opto-electronic oscillators, coupled systems with multiple delays, systems with state-dependent delay time and, more recently, the study of human mobility using geolocated data and the socio-technical systems.
