IFISC's scientists organised the workshop CitiNet at the most important conference of complex systems, ECCS’14

Jan. 21, 2015

The objective of CitiNet workshop is to set up an anual meeting of researchers coming from complex system networks, sensor networks, distributed intelligence and the social, economic or organizational sciences. The multidisciplinary interactions for this inter-disciplinary area of research are extensively recognized for its role in cross-fertilization, and it has undoubtedly been an important source of inspiration for the body of knowledge that has been produced in the distributed artificial intelligence and complex systems. The Citizen Network workshop was born with the goal of bringing together researchers interested in distributed engineering, with researchers focused on finding efficient solutions to problems where the data acquisition is produced in a decentralized manner, representing complex social systems.

The CitiNet workshop is the result from the fusion of the previous workshops: Citizen Sensor Networksand Urban Networks both colocated within ECCS'13 conference.
