IFISC will participate in the activities organized on the occasion of the European Researchers' Night

Sept. 24, 2018

In the evening of Friday, September 28, there are several activities organized to raise awareness of the European Night of Researchers. In a relaxed and enjoyable way, the different faces of Science, from the fundamental research to a more technical work, as well as the relationship between Science and society, will be showed from the point of view of researchers. One of these activities, in which IFISC participates, is "Quick Dates with Scientists": during the short time of the "appointment" (five minutes), researchers will explain their experiences in the scientific world and their current research to a small audience sitting next to them. When the bell rings, attendees will change tables. The activity will take place in the Sa Riera building in Palma between 6 pm and 8 pm.

The European Researchers' Night is a European scientific dissemination project promoted by the European Commission within the Marie Sktodowska-Curie actions of the Horizon 2020 program. It has been taking place since 2005 in more than 250 European cities simultaneously. In the Balearic Islands the initiative has the involvement of IFISC, IMEDEA, CSIC, CBE, IEO, SOCIB and UIB.

All activities are free of charge and freely accessible. Those interested in participating must register beforehand using the following form: https://goo.gl/forms/FvQVWJVlHat17NAr2
