Director of Agencia Estatal de Investigación visites IFISC

Director of Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI), Sra. Villegas, visited IFISC past 10 November. The visit started with a presentation of the Institute given by IFISC’s research staff, emphasizing both the work carried out during the 10 years of the IFISC and the future challenges that the Institute wants to face in the investigation of complex systems.

The visit continued with a tour of IFISC facilities, such as the nonlinear Photonics laboratory or the Computer Services Unit. Afterwards, Sra. Villegas offered a presentation of the AEI to all of the UIB researchers.

The Agencia Estatal de Investigación is an instrument for the management and financing of public funds allocated to R+D+I activities. Its purpose is to ensure accountability, improve and extend the monitoring of actions, streamline the management of available funds, reduce administrative burdens and simplify and standardize procedures.
