Amos Maritan

Amos Maritan holds a PhD in Physics from SISSA, Trieste, Italy. From 2014 to 2017 he was a visiting Scientist at the College of Computer, Math and Natural Sciences at the Maryland University, USA. Amos Maritan is Professor of Statistical Physics at the University of Padova, Italy. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment. His main research interests are in the statistical mechanics of out-of-equilibrium systems, with interdisciplinary applications ranging from the physics of biopolymers to Ecology and Biogeography. He has an h-index of 65 with more than 330 original publications in top scientific journals, including 10 papers in Nature, 2 in Science, 32 in PNAS, 53 in Physical Review Letters, etc.
