PhD position in Computational Mobility and Environmental Impact Analysis

A 3 years PhD position is available at IFISC. 

The candidate is expected to work within the framework of the two projects on mobility and environmental impact from a computational perspective, including data analysis and data-driven modeling. One of the projects, Next4Mob, is national and counts with three institutes of CSIC (social sciences, environmental studies and IFISC), the Polytechnical University of Madrid, the University of Cantabria and the public transportation company of the city of Valladolid.  

We are looking for a strongly motivated person with skills in computing, data collection and analysis. The candidate should be in condition to start a PhD (having a BSc and MSc with 300 credits in total) in physics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering or any close related discipline. The net salary of the contract is 23,871 euros/year, according to the standard PhD stipendium in Spain with the social security and medical coverage included.   

The selected candidate will join the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems, IFISC, at Palma de Mallorca and will work under the supervision of Prof. Jose J. Ramasco.
