Conference venue

The conference will take place at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) Campus. Lectures will be given in the auditorium of the EHIB Building. Download PDF version
Accomodation The conference accommodation will be at Hotel Nautic****, from and to which a transfer to the conference venue (UIB Campus) will be provided every day. Hotel Nautic is located in Playa de Palma, right on the beachfront, in a residential neighborhood surrounded by cheerful restaurants, bars ad small shops. The hotel was reformed in 2008, with urban and minimalist style and a nice spa.
Participants are expected to stay in Nautic Hotel since a shuttle bus from there to the conference building has been hired. People with accommodation in other places must arrange their own transport (see information below). The hotel is located at the beginning of l'Arenal, s/ Virgilio 24 (Ca'n Pastilla).

How to get there

How to arrive from the airport to Nautic Hotel:

• Take bus number 21 at the airport, right outside “Llegadas” (arrivals), price: 3€, leaving at 07:00, 07:30,...,21:30. (Tickets are bought from the bus driver, with cash; maximum allowed banknotes: 10€)
• By Taxi it should not take longer than 15 minutes, see approximate route here:

How to arrive from the airport to the conference venue:

• Take bus number 1 at the airport, right outside “Llegadas” (arrivals), price: 3€, with a frequency of 16 minutes (tickets are bought from the bus driver, with cash; maximum allowed banknotes: 10€), until Plaça d'Espanya (centre of Palma). From there either take the underground (metro) in Estación Intermodal, line M1 to UIB (1.55€, buy in the ticket machines), or take bus 19 (1.50€), which will leave you near the IFISC building (see campus map above). The walking distance between underground in campus and the conference venue is around 20min., while from bus station in campus to venue it is around 10min."
