Applications of nonlinear phenomena are today awaited in various field. Two of such fields are the automation engineering and the behavior of biological organs. This seminar seminar is therefore constituted of two parts. The first part deals with a general presentation of the theoretical and preliminary experimental results on the study of the dynamics and synchronization of nonlinear electromechanical devices. The second part considers two problems in the field of biology or biomechanics. We first present the mechanical and geometrical characteristics of an ideal arterial prosthesis. These characteristics are validated by the direct numerical of the flow dynamics. Next we shed some light on the mechanism of calcium waves propagation in a network of cells connected through paracrine coupling.
