The results of experimental studies obtained at UIB for stochastic resonance in electronic Chua\\\'s circuit operating in chaotic regime and driven by periodic signal and a Gaussian white noise will be presented. The periodic signals with both subthreshold and suprathreshold amplitudes and different frequencies will be discussed. The importance of noise for the transmission of subthreshold signals will be shown. The comparison of the results with experimental and numerical results obtained for neural systems will be given.
