Abstract: Given the growing interest in stochastic thermodynamics and quantum information in recent years, the possibility of creating an autonomous thermal machine based on information has been explored. To this end, a study has been conducted on the use of information as a resource for the thermodynamic operation of the system. This analysis has been carried out with the goal of thoroughly understanding the usefulness of such information-based systems in performing

thermodynamic tasks. Efficiency analyses were conducted to evaluate this usefulness, particularly considering the stochastic nature of the phenomena that occur in these systems. Consequently, an in-depth analysis of fluctuations and dissipation in the autonomous thermal machine presented in this Master’s Thesis was performed. Additionally, the role of quantum coherence in informational thermal machines was also analyzed.
