VIII GEFENOL Summer School on Statistical Physics of Complex Systems

July 3, 2018

IFISC (Institute of Interdisciplinary Physics and Complex Systems, UIB-CSIC) in collaboration with the Specialized Group in Statistical and Nonlinear Physics (GEFENOL) within the framework of the Real Sociedad Española de Física (RSEF), hosts its summer school focused on statistical physics applied to complex systems.

Under the name of GEFENOL Summer School on Statistical Physics of Complex Systems, the school is celebrating its eighth edition from the 2nd to the 13rd of July, the fifth in Palma, with doctoral and postdocs students from all over the world who will learn new tools for two weeks that will allow them to face new problems in the context of complex systems from the perspective of statistical physics.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Rector for Research and Internationalization, Professor Jaume Carot; Director of IFISC, Professor Maxi San Miguel; President of GEFENOL and researcher of IFISC, Professor Raúl Toral; and member of GEFENOL and researcher of IFISC, Professor Pere Colet.
