The Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities gives the IFISC accreditation as Unit of Excellence Maria de Maeztu

The Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (IFISC) has received accreditation as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación, which belongs to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

The award ceremony took place in Madrid on Monday 9 September and the accreditation was collected by Dr. Claudio R. Mirasso, Scientific Director of the Maria de Maeztu program of IFISC (CSIC-UIB). Also in attendance were the Vice-Rector for Research and Internationalization of the UIB, Dr Enrique García Riaza, the Regional Secretary for the University, Research and Linguistic Policy, Mrs Agustina Vilaret and the Director of IFISC (CSIC-UIB), Dr. Maximino San Miguel.
