We are glad to announce that four more PhD students joined IFISC this month within the Unit of Excellence Maria de Maeztu program for predoctoral researchers. Their work will follow IFISC’s new strategic objectives: the study, exploration and development of information processing in and by complex systems.
First, Alejandro Almodóvar will work within the “information processing in biological systems” research line, supervised by Cristóbal López and Tobias Galla
Giovanni Donati joins IFISC as a PhD student under the supervision of Apostolis Argyris, Claudio Mirasso and Lorenzo Pavesi (University of Trento), within the “brain-inspired analog computing in photonic and electronic systems” line.
Thomas Louf will work within the “information processing in socio-technical systems” line, supervised by José J. Ramasco and David Sánchez.
Finally, María Martínez joins IFISC pursuing a PhD under the supervision of both Pere Colet and Damià Gomila. Her thesis will also contribute to the research line “information processing in socio-technical systems”.
They are the last four of the María de Maeztu predoctoral students selected from a total of 37 candidates’ applications, originated from 15 different countries.
