IFISC People: Jon Gurutz

We are glad to introduce Jon Gurutz Arranz Izquierdo to the other IFISC members.

Jon is a journalist specialized in science, currently awarded with a BBVA Foundation-CSIC grant that allows him to stay in different centers to help popularize the science that is happening in the research facilities and how to communicate its way to the public. He will be at the IFISC for three months.

As a Master’s degree in Scientific, Medical and Environmental Communication professional, he’s been a science journalist for Materia, EL PAÍS’ science section; an information researcher and writer on Pere Estupinyà’s science television documentary series for RTVE’s El Cazador de Cerebros; and a science communicator for The Chair of Scientific Culture of the University of the Basque Country, amongst other jobs. His job’s main focus has always been centered at the intersection of the sciences, humanities and social sciences.
