On December 4 to 5, 2025, the IFISC Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) visited IFISC. The SAB serves as an external committee that provides guidance and recommendations to the research lines and projects developed at our institute. During the visit, the SAB attended a general presentation of IFISC activities by the IFISC Director, José J. Ramasco, as well as presentations of the main IFISC research lines. The program of activities also included scientific discussions with IFISC faculty members and meetings with PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
During their stay, SAB members deepened their understanding of the current research strategy of IFISC and exchanged views with the institute’s researchers on ongoing projects and future challenges. Based on this information, the SAB will prepare an assessment report with recommendations and guidelines to support IFISC strategic planning and to ensure the continued maintenance of its highest standards of scientific excellence.
