Conseller d’Educació, Universitat i Recerca visits IFISC (UIB-CSIC)

On January 22, the conseller d'Educació, Universitat i Recerca del Govern de les Illes Balears Martí March, accompanied by the secretaria autonómica de Universitat, Recerca i Política Lingüística, Agustina Vilaret, and the director general de Política Universitària i Recerca, Josep Lluis Pons, visited IFISC (UIB-CSIC) to learn first-hand about the current state of its research work and how recognition as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence has improved the institute's research activity.
On behalf of IFISC, the meeting was attended by IFISC Director Maxi San Miguel, IFISC Vice-Director Emilio Hernández-García and Principal Investigator of the María de Maeztu programme, Claudio Mirasso.
The visit is part of a round of meetings with the different research institutes of the Balearic Islands to discuss issues related to the promotion of science and technology in the Balearic Islands.
