Scientific publication is not the end of the research process, but the beginning of a new challenge: making knowledge reach people. This talk approaches science communication as an extension of research, focusing on video as one of the most effective formats for online dissemination. Based on practical experience in outreach and institutional communication, the session will explore why researchers should communicate their work, how to adapt messages to different audiences, and what steps are involved in transforming scientific content into an engaging audiovisual piece. From scripting and structure to recording, editing, and publishing, the talk will offer a practical introduction for scientists interested in communicating their work beyond academia.
Coffee and cookies will be served 15 minutes before the start of the seminar
