Optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) are common sources to generate low
frequency light and to produce squeezed states. These devices are also
known to develop spatial instabilities in the transverse profile of the
emitted light. In this seminar I will show how an intracavity Photonic
Crystal modifies the characteristics of an OPO allowing to control the
instability threshold as well as to improve fluctuations squeezing.
