We consider the dissipative nonlinear Schrödinger equation driven by a
Poisson noise. This equation models the appearance of impurities in fibers
which result in sudden changes in the field which occur randomly.

We determine the random evolution of the field\'s Energy
and obtain the mean Energy decay. The \"half-life\" time before the Energy
degrades below a given value is shown to be related with an exit-time.
