POST-DIGITAL, a European Training Network, announces 15 positions on Post-Digital Computing for Early-Stage Researchers with the option of being awarded a doctoral degree. The main focus of the network is a photonics approach to neuromorphic computing, i.e. an unconventional approach to computing, which is inspired by nature and the brain.
IFISC (CSIC-UIB) participates by supervising 2 of the 15 projects available in the training program:
ESR5: Advanced nonlinear transient computing: concepts and implementation
ESR14: High-speed non-algorithmic analogue photonic computing with applications in telecom and datacom
IFISC also co-directs one of the projects, which will take place in Aston
ESR13: Novel optical processing techniques for nonlinear fibre systems
Application deadline is 30th June. The positions offered in POST-DIGITAL are for 36 months and expected to begin in summer 2020 (subject to negotiation). The candidates should comply with the MSCA eligibility and mobility rules. More information and application form at:
