Synoptic quantum many body methodology of correlated electron systems

Broadcast soon

Recent advances in quantum material research have witnessed a flurry of new frontiers in contemporary condensed matter physics, reaching from synthetic quantum matter such as twisted materials to unprecedented emerging phenomena such as high-temperature unconventional charge order in kagome metals or non-relativistic spin splitting in altermagnets. In my talk I will give an overview how recent developments in quantum many-body methods such as density matrix renormalization group, slave boson mean field methods, and functional renormalization group enable us to provide a coherent quantum many-body picture of much discussed effective models for correlated electron systems.
