This course examines hybrid collective intelligence as a phenomenon rooted in complex systems science. Collective intelligence emerges from interactions among agents, whether human, machine, or both, and can be studied through the lenses of network dynamics, agent-based modeling, and adaptive feedback processes. We will trace how collective intelligence arises in human groups, how algorithmic and machine agents contribute new forms of intelligence, and how hybrid systems combine both. The course emphasizes mechanisms, modeling perspectives, and systemic implications.
