The main characteristics of noise-sustained structures in continuously fed
unstirred reactors will be discussed for a cubic autocatalytic kinetics
(the Gray-Scott model). Numerical results will be presented regarding some
aspects of these patterns like their correlation, or the dynamics in two
spatial dimensions. Finally, numerical and experimental evidence of
pattern formation will be presented for the photosensitive CDIMA reaction
far from the regime of Turing instability.
