Mathematician by formation, I spent most of my worklife developing software. I collaborated with the creation of an open source game engine and framework while working at Tragnarion Studios. Later on, I moved to GridSystems and got involved in the development of an open source grid middleware. There I also started working in some research projects, mainly related to grid computing and distributed computing. In 2010 I started working at IFISC (CSIC-UIB). On the first years, I was in charge of the EGI node located at IFISC and took my first steps in systems administration. After that, I came back to origins: software engineering and I got interested in data science. Nowadays I specilized on data management, data science and big data analysis applied to complex systems.
