Efficient data storage

Both theoretical and experimental researchers use data, and this data should be
stored as secure as possible: protected, not modifiable by every user in the institute and a backup should exist just in case. To achieve these goals we have improved the data storage system creating an specific repository for
data downloaded from the internet, generated at the laboratories or even
collected over a long period of time. This storage system involves both file systems and databases. We are going to introduce you this new system and show you some good practices about data storage.
