The director of Institute of Interdisciplinary Physics and Complex Systems, Maxi San Miguel; the Rector of the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), Llorenç Huguet, and the Regional delegate Red Eléctrica de España, Eduardo Maynau, have signed today a collaboration agreement for the development of the exhibition il·lumina’t about light, which will be inaugurated on November 26th in Palma in Palau Solleric.
This is one of the activities organized in commemoration of the International 2015 Year of Light and technologies light-based, in accordance with the Declaration of the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Il·lumina’t, organized by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (UIB-CSIC) and sponsored by Red Eléctrica de España, will be held in Palau Solleric and will consist of informative and educational experiments around the light (laser and optical illusions). The exhibition, also has a distinctly interactive to facilitate the understanding of the content.
During the inauguration there will be a laser graffiti activity on the street which will likewise be part of the exhibition content inside. The exhibition will also feature a section devoted to the role of Red Eléctrica de España as a key element for the correct operation and control of energy system, as well as to the development of projects for interconnection in Balearic Islands. Il·lumina’t will be on from November the 27th to December the 20th. Every morning there will be guided visits to and in the evening daily guided tours at 5 pm.
