The zero-temperature Ising model without external field is known to
reach a fully ordered ground state in sufficiently dense random
networks. In sparse random networks, the dynamics gets absorbed in
disordered local minima at magnetization close to zero. Previous work
has found that a nonequilibrium transition between the ordered and a
disordered regime occurs at an average degree 𝑘 that grows sublinearly
with system size [1]. In further and ongoing work, we compare the full
dynamics and its transition to a reduced model in 2-dimensional phase
space spanned by the magnetization and the density of interfaces. This
network annealed model exhibits a similar non-equilibrium transition and
matches further features observed in the zero temperature Ising model on
random networks.
