Study of a Lotka Volterra dynamics with random carrying capacities

Broadcast soon

The Lotka-Volterra dynamics can be seen as a pillar of theoretical ecology: it models predator-prey interactions, competition between species, and ecosystem stability. It helps explain population oscillations, species coexistence, and the conditions leading to extinction or dominance. In my study I focus on a Lotka Volterra dynamics in which the carrying capacities are drawn from a random distribution, this allows to introduce heterogeneity, making the model more realistic and applicable to real ecosystems. Preliminary results show the behaviour of the population when the carrying capacities are drawn from a uniform distribution.
