We start by introducing chaos in classical mechanics and in quantum mechanics, quantum chaos. We then discuss quantum chaos in interacting many-body systems, such as atomic nuclei and quantum dots. What causes quantum chaos in many-body systems and what is the relative role of the confining potential (or mean field) and two-body interaction ? Specifically, a deformed quantum dot is studied. We finally discuss if the error in nuclear mass formula appears due to quantum chaos.
