Innovation diffusion models

This Master thesis explores the application of the “Bass diffusion model” within network structures. The Bass model is also extended in this study through two novel modifications, each designed to explore different aspects of the diffusion process. The study employs various levels of approximation to simulate the diffusion process within different network structures. Theoretical analysis and computational simulations are conducted to compare the outcomes of the original and extended models. The results demonstrate that the proposed extensions offer new perspectives on the diffusion dynamics, contributing to the broader understanding of how innovations propagate in interconnected systems. These insights have potential applications in fields such as marketing, social network analysis, and the study of technological adoption.
