Itinerary:
We initiate this Tour leaving the Campus (University of the Balearic Islands) at around 16h00 and driving to VALLDEMOSA, a small village in the mountains only 18 kms from Palma and a compulsory visit on any visitors agenda to Mallorca.
At about 16h30 we should arrive at Valldemossa, where we shall visit the Royal Carthusian, founded in 1399, the 18th century church, the pharmacy which constitutes the oldest curiosity of the monastery, the cells where the famous pianist Frederic Chopin and the French writer George Sand lived during the winter of 1838/39. After this visit we would depart from Valldemossa to drive onto SON MARROIG, a Manor house of 16th century, former residence of The Archiduke Luis Salvador of Austria, and today a museum with many memorials of his life and works. A beautiful garden for strolling down the regal paths. A balcony with superb views of the Mediterranean and mountains.
We continue to the quaint village of DEIÀ and its classic landscape which Robert Graves loved so much, to arrive at SOLLER and its HARBOUR where we shall have free time to admire the beautiful Bay and to have some photos taken, before having dinner in Es Canyis Restaurant.
