Abstract:
Cells in general, and unicellular organisms in particular, are continously challenged by changes in their environment. Those changes can be beneficial, or hazardous. Often cells respond by adapting their physiology in such a way that some of its functions change while some remain invariant. The latter functions are then robust whereas the former ones are fragile. I will introduce methods to analyze and explain robustness in terms of the network topology and its dynamic organization.
