Abstract: The circadian clock controls the cell division cycle phase transitions in proliferating tissues by modulating cyclins and cyclin dependent kinases (CDKs), until effective division. Modelling relies on age-structured partial differential equations for cell proliferation, and on ordinary differential equations for the control of phase transitions and for the circadian clock described as a network of oscillators. The output of the controlled cell proliferation model is a population growth exponent.
