Hotel Cala Viñas

At only 16 km from the centre of Palma and located 150 metres from the beach and only 100 metres from the resort centre of Magaluf, The Hotel Cala Viñas is set on a cove, with a small white sandy beach that offers you peace & quiet.

Hotel Cala Viñas is an impressive 4-star hotel with 245 fully-equipped rooms. The hotel is very complete, with 3 swimming pools, one indoor, one next to the sea and one for children, conference halls, a gymnasium and a sauna. It also offers a wide selection of activities, including scuba diving, boat trips, tennis court, volleyball, basketball, crazy golf and a varied entertainment programme. The hotel has a main restaurant, which serves a fantastic buffet of international cuisine, the Florida snack bar and the Alhambra piano bar.

We have arranged the following hotel prices (full board per person and day): 55 euros in twin room and 73 euros in single room. Applicants external to the network will pay in situ a registration fee of 250 euros (this will cover coffee breaks and conference facilities and material).

All major European airlines fly either directly or have connecting flights to the airport of Palma de Mallorca (PMI). For example, the main three Spanish airlines that link Mallorca with European cities (direct flights or connections via Barcelona or Madrid) are:

It is very often more convenient and cheaper to use one of the many low cost airlines that connect Palma de Mallorca with direct flights to many European cities. Some of them are the following:

A more exhaustive listing can be found from this site: http://www.whichbudget.com/en/cheapflights.php?from=PMI.

We strongly recommend to go to the hotel by taxi. A taxi from the airport to the hotel would cost in the range of 35 € (there is no fixe price this goes by taxi meter), depending on the pieces of luggage, time and the traffic. Please tell the taxi driver you are going to the "Hotel Cala Viñas" and not to the "Barceló Cala Viñas" hotel, which is in the same area. You might consider renting a car, especially if you come with an accompanying person. This is rather cheap in Mallorca at this time of the year. In the past we have had good experiences with http://www.regamallorca.com/, but there are many other alternatives.

A cheaper alternative would be to take the bus, however as there is no bus that goes directly from the airport to the Hotel you would need to take two buses. The first bus would be the Palma local bus (number 1- blue/grey buses) that leaves from the airport to the centre of Palma (Plaza España). The bus stop is just outside & crossing the road as you come out of arrivals, below the carpark. This bus runs from 6:10 until 00:45 about every 20 min. The price of the ticket is 1.85 €/one way. The second bus that takes you from Palma to the Hotel is the transabus line 107 (red & yellow buses) runs from the main bus station that is situated round the corner in the street called Eusebi Estada (this street is the one that has the Soller train station on the corner) to the Cala Viñas Hotel. A street map is available at http://www.callejeropalma.com.

The transabus bus timetable until the end of October is as follows:

Palma / Hotel Cala Viñas.
Mon / Tues / Wed / Thurs / Frid / Sat: 06h50, 09h15, 11h45, 13h45, 15h45, 18h00, 20h00.

Hotel Cala Viñas / Palma.
