18.30-20.00 - Palma historical and Artistic City Walk.

Palma is a cultural city. Beautifully arranged as a fan towards the sea, the city is marked by the cultures that have lived on the island along its history. Palma invites you to discover its buildings and the monuments that portray the evolution of aesthetic trends during the centuries that are visible in more than 700 streets in its historic centre. This is where you will find the footprint of all those civilisations that have contributed to its building.


20.15 - Celebration Dinner: "150 years after the origin" at Restaurant "El CAFÉ" of "Gran Hotel" building.

This restaurant is inside Caixaforum (The Cultural Centre of the Foundation "la Caixa"), in the old building of the "Gran Hotel" By the Moderniste architect Lluís Domènec in the Plaza de Weyler in Palma. The Grand Hotel is one of the first modernist buildings in Palma (1903) and precursor of Majorcan hotels. Today  is the center of the Fundació la Caixa in Palma and has a permanent collection of the painter Anglada Camarassa.The restaurant is close to all the conference hotels and the historic heart of Palma.

15.00-16.30 - Guided visit to the Cartuja de Valdemossa

Carthusian monastery. The monks were in residence here from its foundation at the end of the 14th century until their departure in 1835. The majority of the structure visible today is from its neo-Classical remodelling. The church was built in 1751 and its vaults have frescoes by Bayeu, Goya’s brother-in-law. It is very famous for having served as residence for the writer George Sand and musician Chopin. It is home to the Municipal Museum, which has exhibits dealing with the historic-artistic heritage of the Carthusians, mementoes of the residence of Chopin and George Sand, and a range of art from the 15th-20th centuries. The tourist office is also located here.


16.30-17.30 - Guided Visit to Valldemossa Village

The village of Valldemossa is located a mere 17 kilometres away from Palma, in the middle of the valley of Sierra de Tramuntana, 400 kilometres above sea level. Part of the village goes up into the mountain slope, creating steep streets and beautiful natural miradors. The whole compound is surrounded by lush forests, with olive and almond trees that are irrigated by the abundant springs in the area.


18.00-19.30 - Guided visit around the Bellver Castle

The Bellver Castle is one of the few European circular castles. Construction commenced at the beginning of the 14th century on the orders of Jaime II, King of Majorca, and the castle functions were both defensive and residential.The Castle is located 3 km from city centre and 112.6 m above sea level, dominating the bay and a large part of the island of Majorca. The plan of the building is circular with three semi-circular towers and another tower about 7 metres away from the main body of the Castle. The construction is set around a central courtyard and has two levels: the ground floor with round arches and flat ceilings and the upper floor with lancet arches covered with a cross vault in pure Gothic style.
