CSIC Research Professor (since 2001). Previous positions as Associate Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Spain) and Research Associate at McGill University (Montreal, Canada).
Graduated in Physics from the University of Barcelona (1986). PhD at the University of the Balearic Islands (1990).
Research Interests: Nonlinear Dynamics, Complex Systems, Statistical Physics, Spatiotemporal Chaos, Pattern Formation, Lagrangian Chaos and Transport in Fluids, Applications to Ocean Dynamics, and Biological Modelling.
